BANGKOK – La police anti-narcotique thaïlandaise a arrêté deux hommes et saisi 447 kg de « ICE » (Crystal Methaphetamine) dans la ville frontalière de Hatyai, au sud du pays, avant que qu’ils ne soient introduits clandestinement en Malaisie.

Le chef du Bureau de la répression des stupéfiants (NSB), le général Gen Sommai Kongvisaisuk, a déclaré que l’opération, qui s’est déroulée hier, a également bénéficié d’une bonne coopération de la police anti-drogue malaisienne stationnée le long de la frontière. Deux hommes de Hatyai et Narathiwat, âgés de 22 et 52 ans, ont été appréhendés hier vers 18h30 (heure locale) alors qu’ils se trouvaient à l’intérieur de la camionnette chargée de  cette importante quantité de drogue.

Cette drogue était destinée à la Malaisie d’abord et ensuite à d’autres pays.

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have arrested an Argentinian who was smuggling 4.8kg of cocaine which is said to be worth RM1.2 million.

Federal narcotics crime investigation department director Commissioner Datuk Seri Mokhtar Mohd Shariff said cooperation between Malaysian police and the Sao Paulo Airport Police Brazil led to the 38-year-old suspect’s arrest.

« In an operation conducted by the Bukit Aman Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (NCID) at the KLIA, the Special Tactical Intelligence Narcotics Group (Sting) caught the man who was transporting the drugs.

« The man had smuggled in the drugs by stashing them at every corner of his luggage bag. He had carried his luggage bag on board a flight from Brazil before transiting in Ethiopia and Singapore.
