El jefe de la mafia rusa Kemerovo ha sido detenido en Mijas (Málaga), donde se había refugiado para protegerse de la guerra de bandas desatada en Estonia, donde la red mafiosa había extendido de tentáculos.

El detenido había llegado a España tras el asesinato, en septiembre de 2016 del jefe de los jefes de las mafias de Estonia, Nikolai Tarankov, el hombre que controlaba la obshack o caja común de la delincuencia organizada dedicada a todo tipo de negocios (tráfico de armas, tráfico de drogas, extorsiones, prostitución, trata de seres humanos…).

Tal era su poder que dichas reuniones eran conocidas en el ámbito delictivo como La mesa redonda”, reza la nota en la que el Ministerio del Interior detalla la operación conjunta de la Policía Nacional, la Guardia Civil y la Policía de la República de Estonia.

Azerbaijan and Russia conducted joint search operations and prophylactic actions under the conditional name “Border” in bordering territories from May 29 to June 4, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry told APA.

The operations were held in accordance with the agreement reached between the Azerbaijani and Russian interior ministers.

The operations were aimed at carrying out complex organizational-practical actions to expose and capture transnational organized criminals, discovering sources of illegal arms and ammunition, explosives and explosive devices, narcotics, and financial means used for illegal purposes and fulfilling decisions reached as to issues of bilateral cooperation.

Iran, which has a 900-kilometer common border with Afghanistan, has been used as the main conduit for smuggling Afghan drugs to narcotics kingpins in Europe.

Despite high economic and human costs, the Islamic Republic has been actively fighting drug-trafficking over the past three decades.

The country has spent more than $700 million on sealing its borders and preventing the transit of narcotics destined for European, Arab and Central Asian countries.

The war on drug trade originating from Afghanistan has claimed the lives of nearly 4,000 Iranian police officers over the past four decades.



An international criminal group smuggling narcotics to Russia has been busted in St. Petersburg. The criminals used caches hidden in the body frame of the truck trailer to transport the drugs. The policemen and customs officers have found 226 kg of psychotropic substance and €26 thousand. 

The special services were following a MAN truck with foreign license plates carrying 2672 tablets of the psychotropic substance from Ivangorod border crossing, where it had arrived from Estonia, to a St. Petersburg customs station and then to a construction site in Siversky township of the Leningrad region. There the drugs have been transferred to Dodge Caravan with St. Petersburg license plates belonging to the leader of the organized criminal group. At that moment, the criminals have been arrested. In addition to the hashish, the caches contained €26 thousand and several phones and SIM cards. A 53-year-old Russian, 35-year-old Estonian, 34-year-old Lithuanian, and 30-year-old Belarusian have been caught red-handed while loading the drugs into the motor vehicle.

« During a customs examination, a cardboard box was found containing a steam cooker packed with five plastic bags filled with different-colored pills, marked with various logos and designs, » the statement reads. « According to an expert, the pills contained the drug substance MDMA. »

Le ministre russe des Affaires étrangères appelle la communauté internationale à intensifier les efforts déployés en matière de lutte contre le trafic de substances psychotropes et expose la position de la Russie face à ce problème.
